Shane R. Costa DDS
Dr. Costa graduated from the University of Richmond and then received his Doctor of Dental Surgery, Cum Laude, from the Medical College of Virginia. After dental school, he completed a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program at the Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Costa is a native of Northern Virginia and resides here once again with his family. He has been practicing locally since completing his residency and is committed to continue providing excellent dental care in Great Falls.
Dr. Costa accomplishes his goal of providing quality dentistry and beautiful smiles with maximum comfort through meticulous attention to detail. He further ensures his patients' satisfaction and comfort by carefully listening to their needs and thoroughly explaining procedures to them. Dr. Costa keeps current with the latest technology and progress in dentistry as a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Virginia Dental Association, the Northern Virginia Dental Society, the Northern Virginia Implant Society, Academy for Sports Dentistry and the Dominion Study Club.

Abby Caroline Kearns, RDH
A native of Great Falls, Abby began working in dentistry at the age of sixteen as a dental assistant. Following her graduation from Langley in 2000, she studied modern ballet at James Madison University. She graduated from Erie Community College in Buffalo, New York in 2004 with an Associates Degree in the Applied Science of Dental Hygiene. There, she was a member of the Phi Theta Society and the International Scholastic Order and also received an award of recognition from the Academy of Dentistry for Persons with Disabilities. Abby enjoys running, spending time with her two sisters, chasing her sixteen month old nephew, Jack, walking her pug, Weezer, and visiting with her parents in North Carolina.

Lis Pyper, RDH, BS
Lis has been in the dental field for 10 years. She started as a hygiene assistant/front office and worked through the ranks to assistant and now dental hygienist. She graduated from Weber State University in Utah with a Baccalaureate Degree in Science of Dental Hygiene. As the Vice President for the Student Chapter of American Dental Hygiene Association she was chosen to present her Baccalaureate Thesis at the National Dental Hygiene meeting in Washington D.C. in 2009. Following graduation she was inducted by her professors and peers into the National Dental Hygiene Honor Society (Sigma Phi Alpha). Lis and her husband moved to Virginia in Fall 2009, he is attending law school at George Mason University. They love outdoor activities, sports (Go Redsox!) and their new puppy Layla.

Jackie Mullen, Assistant
Jackie was born in Pennsylvania and moved to the Northern Virginia area in 2005. She has been working as a dental assistant/orthodontic assistant for the past five years. When she's not working, Jackie enjoys traveling with her husband John, watching sports, reading, and spending time with her family and friends.
